sitting and the office, my mate shouts to me - quick get outside and check out hte sun!
I couldn’t see it with my bare eyes, so we got the G9 out and managed to get some video of it.
Not sure what’s the story here, but looks pretty bizarre!
After a pretty shitty week last week I managed to have a very cool long weekend!
Thursday night saw Erin, Lachlan and I heading west (via taxi) from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi province.
We got to Kanchanaburi town about 11pm or so but managed to find some cool & cheap bungalows next to the river Kwai - I think it was about 200baht per room!
Next day we hired some scooters and started to make our way our to the waterfalls of Arawan. Unfortunately 20kms or so outta town my scooter blew a drive belt (or something?) and so were delayed an hour or so.
But despite that hiccup and some long stretches riding in the rain we managed to have a really excellent time out there.
Big cheers to Erin & Lachlan for letting me ride in their gang
Stupidly on friday afternoon I upgraded my iPhone 16GB to iPhone software to version 2.0.
Halfway through the upgrade my friend Salvo said “hey isn’t that going to brick your phone?”. I had forgotten that my iPhone was indeed jailbroken/hacked and this was going to mean an end to a very beautiful relationship, but one I would be able to restore and downgrade.
Well how wrong I was! The phone won’t downgrade, instead just shows a cool image of a cable plugging into iTunes. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I don’t know if this will be some sort of ’social suicide’, but here is a thai tv commercial for Kasikorn Bank that i got paid to do! Can you pick the handsome/masculine voice that is yours truly?
The epic video Cary & I (with a lot of Dad’s effort) put together way back in 1997 of almost everyone in our school year at Telopea Park High School, Canberra, A.C.T. Australia.
Big thanks to Dad for holding on to the tape!!
If anyone would like a DVD just let me know and I’ll put it in the mail
I’ve finally managed to get all my pics from Turkey up onto Flickr & nearly onto fazbook.
I spent 10 days in Turkey all together, starting in Istanbul and ending in Kalkan.
Istanbul is a beautiful city, well at least from the 36 hours I spent in the tourist area (the old city) - the area where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia is. Lot’s of friendly people who seemed pretty keen for a chat on the street.
I’d imagined the Grand Bazaar to be more like a scene out of Aladdin (but i think that is more Saudi Arabia right?) , but it was very clean, and enormous.
From Istanbul Lisa & I headed south by overnight bus to Selcuk - the home of the ancient city of Ephesus. WOW! An amazing place to see. It must have been amazing back in it’s day.
The next part of the trip was from Selcuk to Kalkan to meet up with the rest of the gang and do some serious chillin’.
Apart from a hilarious jeep ’safari’ trip to a gorge and a trout farm, most of the week was one big relaxo time. We had a pool so the more Xtreme of us bombed off our apartment into that, and spent the rest of the days drinking Efes beer!
U London lot thankyou thankyou thankyou for an awesome week! Let’s do this again soon!
I hope your Fezs / Fii are getting you props back home!
